For those on a limited budget, the Victoria Falls Rest Camp offers clean, affordable and spacious self-catering ( self contained ) chalets, camping sites, as well as tented accommodation. The Victoria Falls Rest Camp is situated in the centre of the Victoria Falls village, so the shops are within walking distance. The Victoria Falls is 2 km from the Victoria Falls Rest Camp – you will find no camping site closer to the Falls than this one!

At the Victoria Falls Rest Camp, guests can choose between the following self-catering ( self contained ) options: 10 self-catering ( self contained ) lodges (two bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each; bed linen provided; bath and toilet; kitchen with stove, fridge and all cooking utensils; ceiling fans in bedrooms), 15 self-catering ( self contained ) lodges (two bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each; bed linen provided; bath and toilet; kitchen with stove, fridge but no cooking utensils; ceiling fans in bedrooms), 11 single chalets (two single beds; bed linen provided; communal ablution facilities), 3 double chalets (2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each; bed linen provided; communal ablution facilities; small fridge), 2 dormitories (one for men with nine single beds, one for women with six single beds; all bed linen provided; communal ablution facilities), as well as 12 luxury tents (two single beds in each; bed linen provided; lighting in each tent).

The self-catering ( self contained ) Victoria Falls Rest Camp is starting to install airconditioning in the lodges and chalets – when you book, ask for accommodation with airconditioning if you prefer.

The campsite at the self-catering ( self contained ) Victoria Falls Rest Camp is spacious with plenty of shady trees. Each camping site has a braai facility, as well as power point. The communal ablution facility has hot water.

Although the Victoria Falls Rest Camp is primarily a self-catering ( self contained ) establishment, you can enjoy value for money fare at the “In Da Belly” restaurant. The swimming pool is a welcome oasis on hot days. Huge shady trees are scattered throughout the Victoria Falls Rest Camp, making it very popular with travelling families. A laundry facility and a safe-keeping facility are also offered.

The Victoria Falls offers a large number of activities – from a safari on the back of an elephant to a number of adrenalin rush experiences. The “Big 5 interactive safari” is a value for money activity, where you undertake a variety of guided game viewing drives. The adrenalin junkies will delight in white water rafting on the Zambezi, viewing the Falls from the air in a microlight or helicopter, canoe and horse trials, bungi jumping from the Victoria Falls bridge, flying fox and abseiling, quad biking and a number of river cruises on the Zambezi.
